Appointment of the General Secretary
The General Assembly approved the appointment of Rev.Lungile Mpetsheni
as General Secretary. Lungile is married to Thandi and the father
of eight children. When asked what he would like members to know about
him, he responded by saying that he grew up in the Church and came into
the ministry at a very young age. He loves God, he loves His Church and
he received Jesus Christ as his Saviour.!
He also has a vision of the Church that is a home for all. He has a
vision of the Church that cares and loves. He has a
vision of the Church that sees and hears and that comes down to the
people. This vision comes from the statement of Jesus who said that He
came not to be served, but to serve and therefore Rev. Mpetsheni sees
himself as a servant of the people. His wife, Thandi, recognises
that this is the call of God on his life and will support him full
created for our members to folow the events of the Executive Commission.
is married to Balekeni and they have two sons Tiwonge and Gomezga. He
is Zambian by birth. He started his ministry under Rev Alan Maker
before returning to Lusaka. He took up a call in South Africa in 1994
and took up South African citizenship.
God’s grace he was given the opportunity and privilege to travel abroad
and preach in different states giving him international connectivity.
